Terms

BeavKat Studio is a small games site made by one family. Here is the deal, in plain words.

Playing

Everything on the site is free to play. A player account is a nickname and a passcode, and it is yours: we don't sell it, share it, or show it to anyone outside the circles you join. You can delete it yourself at any time from your players page.

Being kind

• Pick a nickname, not your real name.
• Names you type — for a player, a circle, a level, a character — go through a word filter, and we can change or remove one that gets past it.
• Circles are private. Only share an invite code with people you know.
• Send drawings, not photos of people.

If something breaks these rules we may remove it, and in a bad case remove the account. We will tell the grown-up if there is one.

Drawings and characters

A character made from your drawing is yours to play with in your family's games. The drawing stays yours. We don't show your character to other families, put it in a gallery, or use it for anything else. A parent can remove it at any time.

Grown-ups

A family account is for an adult. It is the only place on the site with an email address, and it is where a parent approves drawings, sets play-time reminders, and can delete a child's player or the family account. Deleting the family account does not delete the children's players; they carry on as ordinary players.

The family plan (not available yet)

When it exists: one plan per family, paid monthly or yearly, bought only from the grown-ups' page, cancel any time and it simply stops at the end of what you paid for. It adds more characters each month and lets them into circles. Everything free today stays free.

Proposed refund rule: ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it, no questions. Characters already made stay. This line is a proposal until the plan launches.

The site itself

We work hard to keep it running and to keep your scores safe, and we back the database up. It is still a small family site: it can be down, and a game can have a bug. If something goes wrong, email hello@beavkat.com and a person will answer.
